Well, when you have dozens if not hundreds of gamestop employees on countless different websites saying the same thing and yet every month we're getting the major chains all over North America advertise their shipments, you know the shipments are being lobsided when we see the NPD's for the last few months AND one major game-only chain complains. ;)



Nobody is crazy enough to accuse me of being sane.

Virtua Fighter came out in February and sold reasonably poorly; I would expect similar (although somewhat better because of the TV ad campaign) results for Motorstorm. 200,000 seems reasonable but I wouldn't expect it to get much higher than that.

Remember even if the PS3 sold as poorly as in Feb that's 152k sold 'cause March is 5 weeks.  I happen to think VF5, Motorstorm, and Oblivion should've pushed about 50k if not more.  We'll find out in a few days.

Virtua Fighter 5 came out like 3 days before the end of February.. it didn't have enough time to actually do anything for February. I think it sold a good deal more as did MotorStorm. I'm thinking the total will be about 220k. This is still a prediction to the numbers so I guess we will have to wait and see.

Everything looks about right except they have the Wii & DS numbers mixed up.

End of '08 Predictions: Wii - 48m X360 - 25m  PS3 - 19m
Wii monthly NA sales will top 400k every month in '08. *Jan sales ruined it. Grrrr!*
WiiFit will top 1m in sales in its first month of release in North America.
MGS4 will NOT be released in '08. *Darn it!* FF13 will NOT be released in '08.
Rockband Wii will top 600k in first month sales in North America.
WiiFit will pass the PS3 WW sales by Xmas '09.

If anything it'll be higher than that. It was nearly 300k sold for the four week February period, and March had the release of God of War 2. The PS2 has outsold the 360 every month with the exception of one, and I expect it to continue to do so at least until the summer months.
