I'm not liking Gears 3, the Sawed-off and all the pussies that use it are really killing the flow of the game.

It is just his opnion, doesn't really matter.

The multiplayer is as bad as Gears 2, when you don't connect to the dedicated servers. There are a lot of problems in the game (spawns, weapon balance), but then this is the beta. Hopefully, when the game hits retail it will have enough dedicated servers where we do not have to deal with the same crap as Gears 2.

Other than that, the game looks great and is fun to play.

I think KZ3 MP is the best FPS MP so far this gen and is way better than COD/Halo etc etc. What it's lacking is the SP.

why you guys comparing a 3rd person shooter with a 1st person shooter?

 

anyways... I'd compare this with other 3rd person shooters. MGO, U2 or U3, even Vanquish. I'll have to give it to U3 though. little is known about both U3 and Gears3, its like a babies first cry.

I am not the only one with a poor opinion of Killzone.

Everyone I have passed the controller to in order to play it has had overwhelmingly negative views about it. If Snake612 was still here, he'd back me up on that, but assurance from Rol should be more than enough proof.


I feel the same way.  This game is prettty but unlovable.  I even loaned it to a co-worker in exchange for WWE All-Stars.  The next day, he brought it back.  Didn't even ask for his game, he just brought it back!  The last game I took back to the store was Velvet Assassin.  That ggame was a broken mess.  I'm taking KZ3 back today.  I usually keep every game I buy because there's a certain charm or feeling that I'll be in the mood to play it someday.  With KZ3, I don''t feel anything when I play it.  It's gotta go.

Gears of war is the only game I want from the 360 :P Well that and Tales of Vesperia XD It's almost enough reason for me to buy a 360. Its a nice multiplayer game, I really want to play it.

I'm actually pretty surprised to see you chime in and continue to derail the topic, but I'll make this short and sweet: your piece only means you didn't like the game, not that the game is bad. Look at how many people don't like the Gears 3 beta (the Epic forums are the best place to look). Something tells me you wouldn't agree with those folks.

Yeah, me too.  I avoided the Killzone 3 ranking game, pretty much kept my opinion to myself, and even gave the game a 9/10 in my initial review.  I just saw the post in this thread and realized that i felt the same way.  Like you said, it's just an opinion.  I'm sure it's beloved by many.  Just not me.  Like "Elpressador" in his GeoW3 Beta video (which I haven't watched), the FPS genre is one that has never been a favorite of mine.  I managed to find some fun in games like Quake II, Godeneye, Timesplitters, Red Faction, Halo series, Bioshock, and the CoD series.  I just found nothing to even compell me to finish the campaign in Killzone aside from its beauty and even then, that wasn't enough.  I know I'll never play the game again, despite its technical prowess.  Something I can't say about games I know are terrible and yet still find a home on my shelves.  I feel the same way about the Madden series.  Take my opinion with a grain of salt.  It's just that.  An opinion.

--Changed my personal review on my "my games" page, too.  It's a quality game that isn't for me.
