IF the rumors are true that Nintendo is focusing on getting the core crowd back, then are they releasing there new system too early? I was just thinking that if Sony and Microsoft continue with this generation for at lease two more years that the audience that Nintendo wants to recapture may not be ready to buy a new system when their PS3 or 360 plays the same 3rd party games that Cafe will (possibly if some rumors are true).
In short, my thinking is that "core" gamers will say "Why upgrade now when I don't really have too?" They will most likely wait for the new SOny and Microsoft machines which will be more powerful than Cafe.
I personally will get the new Nintendo system on day 1, but that's because I'm a huge Nintendo fan (not a fanboy).
What are everyone else's thoughts? Do you think Cafe will get here too early or does Nintendo know what it's doing?
EDIT: This is NOT, repeat not a DOOM thread. Just something to think about.
