I don't want to put words in superchunk's mouth, but I think he meant "copies" as in a legitimate copy of his birth certificate, not the specific long form one that he just gave out.

I stand by my earlier opinion, which I expect you remember, that the earlier copy was also "definitive".

True, though as shown, it took him little trouble to actually do this.

And the polls showed most of america didn't seem to agree with you polls wise.

The recent poll on trump too seems to show it's more of a "Show me' issue then any issues about his race or anything else that was claimed.

Besides, It's not like we've had many presidents from hawaii where this issue has come up before.

This is the guy who has managed to increase debt by $4 trillion in 2 years, passed a disastrous healthcare bill, and made a mess of quite a few things in general, and you're obsessing over whether or not he was born in the USA.

Have you ever thought that it doesn't actually matter where he was born? How does that affect his ability to lead in any way? If he were a Republican, and slashing Medicare and Medicaid at the moment, would you still be questioning his country of birth? No, probably not.

So what you're doing is using his (supposedly) uncertain birth location (which is now certain in the eyes of the law) to try and discredit him, which goes to show that you just dislike him without knowing why. Is it because he's a Democrat? I refuse to believe there are people who would hate him because of his race.

Well it was already certain in the eyes of the law 2 years ago.

A lot of it likely is due to political party, since seemingly about as many people doubt trump... and something like half of democrats think Bush knew about 9/11, etc. etc.

One local example is that one mormon guy who  isn't Mitt Romney.  ManusJustus thinks he's a pedophile.... because he was sent to Taiwan for his missionary work.

Wow, morons still are arguing about this. Obama's mother was an American citizen. Which makes him an American citizen. He was born in a Hawaii but even if he weren't. It wouldn't matter because his mother was a US citizen. Idiots....

Actually it would.  You can't be president unless you were born on US soil... for some reason.

I'm still of the opinion that most "birthers" are either closeted racists or anti-muslim lobbyists in some way.  They need a reason to hate Obama and to question his election, authority, and all else about the guy so they hide behind the plausibility that he was not born here.  Now that this has finally been sent to bed the anti-socialist guys will be out in full force.

This is the same reason I want no part in "tea perty movement" despite being more towards a centrist libertarian than anything else.  In the middle of Missouri (where I live) those meetings and rallys have been basically taken over by white supremecists that use the "tea party" banner as a front for their agenda.  There's only so much one can take of rascist slurs and backwards thinking heard at the one rally I went to before I hit a breaking point.  If these guys were actually about fiscal responsibility and doing things the way the Constitutuion laid out I'd be all for it, sadly where I live "tea party members" are super right wing religious types that simply hate Obama.

I don't think there is a large number of closet racists trying to mount an anti-Obama conspiracy ...

Much like the individuals who believed that Sarah Palin's baby was really her daughters, people are blinded by partisanship into believing moronic conspiracy theories

You might wanna check his tentacles as well to make sure he isn't an illegal alien. Better safe than sorry.

It's actually Four Trillion in 3 years.

What's amusing about that Paul Ryan's big plan cuts 4 Trillion... in 10 years.

While Obama's cuts 4 Trillion in 12 years.

So in otherwords all the budget cut talk is funny enough, not nearly drastic enough.
