but at OP, ha at even mentioning this.  this is like the oldest scam in the book and is used on everything, door to door, phone, emails, web cams, ect you name it.  any method of communication and you will have scammers trying to get your money.  Kind of a simple, hey if someone is asking for you cc while playing a game, don't tell him.  lol

Exactly these phishing scams happen all the time, it's not hacking, it trying to obtain info by mass spamming. Just ignore people you don't know it's that simple..

Hacking and phishing are two different things.

Wow why are people even reporting this. Its like me asking you to give me your credit card details, your address, your name, etc. You obviously will ignore me, unless you are seriously dumb.

Scammers attempt this all the time on the interwebz, mail, phone, etc. MS are just being overly careful just to show you how much they love you. If not for the Sony fiasco, this wouldn't even get an eye pat.

I think everyone that posted before the D-Joe doesn't know what phishing scams are.
