Forums - Nintendo - Zelda OoT opening cinematic comparison (N64, 3DS)

Is it just me or did it seem like they messed up the 3DS version?

Better graphics no doubt, but the dusky lighting faded too quick and the camera work was off compared to the original. Maybe this is an early version or something and they need post production or whatever, but it looked less cinematic then the original which is crazy given the differences in power between the 3DS and the N64.

Maybe I'm tripping over nothing.

You need too consider that it is in wide screen now so you see more.

Personally I think it is better than the old version

I like how Epona hits the fence at 1:04 on the original version.

Reallly excited about getting this game for some odd reason.

Are they planning to rearrange or remaster the soundtrack?

It looks a lot better, especially in terms of framerate but I they also seem to have turned the lighting up. I don't mean a brighter artstyle, I mean an actual brighter "sun" when they render it. That may be just to show off the graphics by making them easier to see for demo purposes and won't be in the actual game, since I liked the early dawn look better than the morning look of the new one.

Man, Due to the screen difference, you can clearly see the changes in the view and angle. Although when Link and Epona were staying by the river, the angle was to high in the remake. I gotta say, I don't like how they changed the lighting, it's too much, for me atleast. Other than that, it awesome.

And proud member of the Mega Mario Movement!

It's a bit too bright. The old one was more late-evening or early-morning.
