Sorry for being eager, I was actually happy with my review, so I'm really hoping (and thinking) I have a chance!  

We actually go through the applications as they come in, Machina or I decide if something is good enough to put on the staff forums to be critiqued by the rest of the editors, and then we get their comments on those reviews worth showing them.  We haven't made any official decisions yet as we are waiting for all the applications to come in, I would take a guess that it'll be a few days after May 3 before you get word one way or another.  May 6 would be my guess.

Oh Gawd, that doesn't include Seece does it...I swear if there was even the slighest chance he had to completely sabotage me he'd take it, I don't want my application.chance of becoming a reviewer for the site put into danger due to him

Seece isn't an editor, so he doesn't get a say. Though obviously he does have access to the staff forums.

Yes you made it to the staff forums. 15 out of 31 have.

Oh, well at least 6/7 of the 15/16 which have been applied will make it in, meaning that I have a...40% chance? It's a good chance, but I won't get my hopes up. At least I'm halfway there anyway!

TBH I can pretty much tell exactly what he'll have written anyway, so the fact that he isn't on the judging team means I (hopefully...) still have a chance.

While I understand Vendetta's, I highly doubt someone would sabotage your chances becuase he or she doesn't like you.  I know when I was a mod I was very good at differentiating my moderative responsibilities and my personal feelngs towards someone.  I imagine someone working for a site like this would be professional enough to set their bias aside in the effort to make sure they get the best candidates.

You'd be surprised. Weirdly, shortly after finding out that my review had made it to the forums, I was asked by a few people why he seems to hate me so much. I dunno, and this really isn't the place to discuss it. 

I think the truth is, he doesn't want to lose our bet (that I'll become a member of staff for the site by December 31st 2011, and this is likely my best chance to become one. But since I have no idea what he said, it's all theorising at that point).

Like I said, Seece doesn't get a say. It doesn't matter what he thinks of you, it makes no difference to your application.

Pretty much confirms what I thought, but it's nice to know that's the case.

Will we find out by the end of the week who's been successful do you reckon? Or will we have to wait longer, so you can finalise who's best?

I don't have a vendetta ^^ I certainly don't hate you! I wish you all the best. I just wanted to put my opinion across on the review, that's all.

May be hard to believe but I only want Gamrreview to have the best of the best, so we can become one of the best review sites out there, although we're already pretty good compared to most.

And I didn't make any such bet at all ...

You may say that, but sometimes it's hard to believe, especially say, a few weeks ago.
