Forums - Nintendo - How Nintendo just punked Sony and Microsoft

^ FYI: They peaked before Move/Kinect were released.

Check out the number of Wii sold every year, they peaked in 2008/2009 and fell 20% then 25% each financial year since then. Based on that short trend, had it accellerated due to Move/Kinect it would have meant they lost only 1M Wii sales to other consoles which isn't a substantial quantity.

One thing is for certain...  very interesting times are coming and we'll get to have a brighter idea of what's to come after E3.

Sony and MS are just going to find it harder to hold out until 2014 or 2015 for their new platforms

I can see how you think they "punked" Sony, but I'm not entirely sure of these touch features so I'm not sure about MS.

Your point is interesting, though. If Wii2 is essentially a PS3/360 Plus, then the HD consoles have nothing other than software to sell on, which has never been an advantage for them.

playing right now: Xenoblade Chronicles

Hype-o-meter, from least to most hyped:  the Last Story, Twisted Metal, Mass Effect 3, Final Fantasy XIII-2, Final Fantasy Versus XIII, Playstation ViTA

bet with Mordred11 that Rage will look better on Xbox 360.

I wasn't quite sure of what you were saying at first but having gone through it it was a good read and some fair points to boot as well.

Lol, done.

Opinions and assumptions are nice.
