Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Spec speculation on new system - $300 limit though, perhaps even $200.

Ok, here is my speculation...

Around 1.5 GB of RAM, 1 GB for general purposes and 512 of Video RAM for the GPU.

Panasonic propietary format/drive based on the blu-ray technology (they also have patents) without movie playback

CPU: IBM Power6 or Power7 with 4 cores and speeds between 3.0 and 4.2 GHz (released between 2007 and 2010)

Storage: Internal flash memory of 16GB

2 USB 3.0 ports, bluetooth,1 HDMI port, 1 A/V port.

That should cost around 200-220 dollars to produce, add 40-50 of cost by the controler, and Nintendo can sell the console in June of 2012 at 300 dollars, and it should be as powerfull as 2 PS3 duck tape together. Enough to provide 1080p at 60 fps, but not a full generation ahead that will scare the developers with the costs. That means that all the consoles will have the same multplataform games but the Wii2 version will be the best looking one.
