Isn't that what Onlive is ment to do but on a smaller scale (home vs country/planet)?
And the resolution of the controllers' screen is not a TV resolution : 16:9 = 1.77 / 800:500 = 1.6 so is 16:10...
I'm holding judgement unitl E3, but if this is true Wii2 needs to be way more powerful than 360/PS3 (Mario Kart with 4 players using not the TV but the controllers' screens means a resolution equivalent of 3200x2000, and MK needs to run at 60fps)

Actually the equivalent resolution would be 1600 by 1000 which would be more than good enough to display on a TV with a native resolution of 1920 by 1080. So that resolution if true would actually be a good compromise and for simplicities sake they could easily render all games at that resolution and scale them for TVs.
800 plus 800 on the width and 500 plus 500 on the height. Remember they add together, they do not multiply!
@Nintendogamer, I would assume they intend to release the NES 7 in 2017 at this point but I have no idea about the NES 8!
