Not a good excuse and a missed opportunity. Its my biggest gripe with the 3DS.

CoD4 was the first and last time I played an FPS game on DS. The touch screen ruins the experience.

I hear Dimentium does it far better.

Well I've tried a few other games, Dementium included. They all felt basically the same to me.

Just using the DS like that is uncomfortable. It would be nice if they atleast gave you the option to look around with the buttons like PSP shooters. Playing CoD on PSP like that was enjoyable and accurate enough for me to disable aim assist.

Well it seems that the 3DS won't be your every genre system. Hopefully it can satisfy your other genre needs.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Don't care about dual analogue, miyamoto explain well, it's the kind of control system I like.

I don't mind this, because they have the stylus, so it encourages people to do more interesting things with it... think twewy.

If you put two analogue sticks it will differentiate itself even less.

Granted lots of developers will still be lazy.

Using stylus for camera is horrible, and you still need stop pressing the buttons.

so on dual analog scheme you have 3 thumbs for moving the camera on the right analog stick and still pressing buttons?

"no, shoulder buttons are still acessible"

So it is on the 3DS, even moving/aiming on the touch screen with the stylus you can pressthe shoulder button with the same hand that is holding the stylus. This is also a pretty confortable position to hold your DS in your hands while playing FPS games.

I like gyroscope control.. works great on the iPhone 4..

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

With both motion control and a touchscreen a second anlog stick is completley unessacary. It still makes me laugh that so many people are obsessed with something so stupid.

Even though I usually have no use for two sticks, having the option is better than having no choice (camera controls)

Overall, I don't really care about dual analog.  I actually loved the MP:Hunters control scheme, far more than I do dual analogue.

The big problem with not having dual analog and having the single analog stick above the d-pad is that the control scheme for Monster Hunter is going to have to change.

gamespot always rate monster hunter low on psp and have a rant about its lack of second thumb stick.

i got used to it but i would definately prefer another one. at the moment there are only 4 (i think) vertical cameras to chose from while horizontal is fully rotational. it should be that we can rotate the camera how and where we like and thats easy with a second thumb stick.

 It wasn't needed.

That's what I'm talking about. This control method jizzes all over the dated dual analog setting.

Playing in 3D with this thing is a different story though. You simply can't, unless you move your head around along with the sweetspot lol.

Never understood the need for dual analogue myself, maybe because i cut my teeth on the N64

It's an overrated feature, especially in the game media which seems to throw a hissy fit if you expect them to get anything done with less than two...

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.
