Forums - Gaming - Have you bought any video games for collection, more than to play?

I have bought several older games just because they were classics.

As far as my growing collection, I was sitting in my recliner a few days ago and realized I play only a handful of games, and some of them I haven't played once (like Crackdown). Since I review games, I rarely have time to just sit and chill. I am finishing most of my game reviews and taking the rest of the year off to play Mass Effect, Rock Band, Call of Duty 4 and SMG.

Eventually, I would love to have a huge room in my mansion with every arcade game I have ever loved in it. It's all about planning. When we bought our house last year, I wasn't going to buy a house without a room where I could run my small biz and just chill in.

Yes.

Most of my older games from the second and third generation of games I have beaten, and a lot of the Nintendo 64 games I own have been beaten, but Gamecube and Wii games, DS games, and other handheld games, not so much.

I still play frequently, I am just more about buying old games, playing them once to make sure they work, and then putting them in the proper bin for display purposes. This especially applies to games of today. I just bought Dragon Ball Z B.T. 3 and Ghost Squad, and I have yet to play one and yet to even open thee other. I will probably beat Ghost Squad with my brother but Dragon Ball Z, I will probably play once or twice if that.

Well yeah, at some point a few years ago I got into my head that I would search ebay to buy only my favorite games from the NES, SNES, and Genesis.   I buy them only in box.  I think I got the idea after seeing a few boxes of old games on a friend's bookshelf, and finding them very attractive.  At some point I will buy up old PC games as well, again in box, in spite of the boxes being so huge.

Here's what I got so far, only a few more to go for each system:

Before I had a nes I brought a copy of Zelda 1+2 so I could say I owned every Zelda (including the CD-i ones, might get my CD-i out now thinking about it)

I own every single video game system in the world, and I only have over 100 games. How do you explain that?

FM towns marty?

Super A'can?

CPS Changer?

I really doubt you own every system. Hell, I doubt you even realize how many there are.
