Funny how you called me a coward yesterday for not wanting to express my beleifs to the people...

Other than my parents, I'm open to my beliefs to pretty much anyone. Plus, over here we have a saying "Fă ce zice popa, nu ce face popa" which is roughly translated as "Do what the priest says, not what the priest does".

BTW, how would you handle things if you were in my situation?

Oh the irony...

To answe your question, I would stay christian of course :)

You have no imagination, nor can you read the answer to a question properly.

What's the point, and why do you do it?

I go with my parents too, even though I don't really believe in god, and it is more for the respecting my parents and just tagging along rather than sitting at home and playing video games.

Money can't buy happiness. Just video games, which make me happy.

i dont want them to take my ps3 and laptop. theyr very religious.

Being in 3rd place never felt so good

My mother use to be an atheist so if was no issue when I came out and my household is very secular anyway, with my Christian parents never taking me to church and leaving it all up to me whether I was religious or not. Since my brother, cousin, most of my mates, pretty much the majority of people I know are now atheists and have discarded their parents religions it wasn't a problem for anyone else either.

Only you have a good idea how they'll react so only you can really know what to do. But you'll have to tell them eventually, and I'm guessing it will be painful. But its also painful living a lie.

I guess I'm lucky, I come from a fairly irreligous country and my immediate family ranges from agnostic to atheist. We still go to church on Christmas though, mostly just out of tradition.

Just say this to them

"Hell is not a place you go, if you not a christian

it's the failure of your lifes greatest ambition

It's a bad decision to blindly follow any religion"

then you follow up "Before i decide what religion i am, i must do extensive research" then in about 6 months, tell them you dont believe in any religion.

Won't the bolded part offend or upset them? As for the final paragraph, what's the point of it. Wouldn't it just be easier to just tell them I've come to the conclusion that all religions are false?

Religous people get offended no matter what... And atleast your giving them idea, your looking into the relgion... Its like saying "Hey im looking for a job" and then 6 months later "well i couldnt find a job sorry " instead of saying "im not looking for a job at all"
