@xxian fair enough, im pumped to see where this goes no matter what the platform. ive been satisfied with the recent Sonic outings, even that racing one. (dont know about the kinect game though) i just want a truly great Sonic. 4 & Colors were just good

I dont know this looks like the same on rails platformer sonic has become over the years.
Alot of youll forgot that sonic was a platformer with extremely tight controls with alot of exploration, Not just holding forward and pressing A when a target icon appears infront of u. This is not a good direction for sonic to head towards.

You know Sonic maybe the ultimate francise for the 3ds. I mean people say that 3d benefits racing and platforming games the most. Sonic is a mixture of both.

Colourful, quick, fun, awesome music. That should be the formula for any Sonic game!
@cyberninja SOnic has always done well on portables period. Hell, the advance games are nothing more than updated Gen era games with 2 more characters to use. its only on consoles where they try to be different that he suffers
I'm not sure who I was discussing with whether this would be a retail or downloadable release, but the Sega press release pretty much confirms it.
"Sonic Generations™ will speed into stores for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system for Holiday 2011."
Looks like a retail release all the way.

Xxain seriously... have you seen anyone but yourself react to my comment? No, cause it's not intended to garner that reaction. Calm down and things won't get off track, the game looks nice, I think everyone is saying that, I think it looks beautiful, I want to get my hands on it. Also I'm with Oniyide, I read the Archie comic book series as well 
they're still making them and I started reading them at the comic book stand once again.
