Played it, finished it, 7 hours and a half. Not worth the $45. Original portal was that long for a much lower price.

Otherwise, the game is just as awesome as Portal was.

What are your thoughts on the puzzles compared to the original?

They were better obviously. But for the original I paid $50, and I got TF2 and Episode 2 as well. This is just a lot less value compared to the orange box. The campaign should have been at least twice its size. Both single and co-op.

OK cool. Thanks for sharing your opinion.

The writing of the dialogue was also pretty good and I can make a good argument that it is better than the first. It's just too short for the amount of money I shelled out for it. If it was $35, or a bunch longer, I wouldn't have cared.

Played it for two hours yesterday and I'm really loving it. GlaDOS's comments are very funny and the puzzles are fun to figure out (maybe a bit easy up until now). Frying the turrets with a reflected laser is very satisfying, as is flying around a room after hopping on a launcher platform.

Signature goes here!

Anyone know if you can play co-op over lan on the computer??

Sig thanks to Saber! :D

With Last Guardian's delay, Portal 2, Uncharted 3 and Mass Effect 3 are the one's that have a chance at the GOTY now. The new Zelda as well, if it releases this year.

Gears also has a chance but I don't know how big a chance, would really depend on its single player.

Why are people complaining about DLC?  "Oh, we paid for the game, we should have access to all the content made!"  um, no?  you should have the content they give you and have decided is going to be the main game.  Anything else (ESPECIALLY skins and animations) is just pretty additions.  the game does not suffer, it does not feel incomplete without the DLC, it's just another addition for people to pay for if they feel so inclined.

Besides, piracy is what made this kinda stuff happen, if people weren't pirating games, developers would be less likely to find creative ways to get money out of people.  think about it, and remember that as much as you want everything given to you, game making is still a business.

Lest we forget The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

Yeah...that and slight slim chance for LBP 2 .....and.....hopefully infamous 2.

And L.A. Noire of course.

Beat the game, absolutely loved it.  Waiting for my brother to get the game before I touch co-op so we'll both be blind in our playthrough.

Also, I just beat Portal 2 and I found that it was AWESOME!  The singleplayer story mode felt kinda short, but not in the "wow that wasn't worth it' way, more the "That was 10 tonnes of awesome compressed into 6-8 hours, and I enjoyed every minute of it!  I want more!"  Also, the co op missions are completely seperate and original from the singleplayer mode, so that's another whole load of gameplay to go through.

I do wish for a few things to keep people interested, namely challenge modes and DLC (co op DLC, it can be done!), but as it stands this is one of the only games this generation I sat down, beat in two days (I didn't get to play it until late on day 1), then wanted to turn around and play it again.  It's atmospheric, it's hilarious, all the characters are memorable and amazing, the puzzles are challenging without being frustrating, and like the first one there are plenty of other ways to go back and do it all again a different way.

This is the kind of game I'm talking about, the kind I've been pining for, a game that has an awesome singleplayer campaign that's good enough to warrant a second playthrough.  We need more games like this regardless of what people are gonna complain about (namely the launch day DLC)
