Forums - Nintendo - A wild Shiny pokemon appears and it's going to use recoil damaging moves

It's a red Gyarados. I'd down it, i want to get to the 7th gym already.

I used shiny chaining to catch a koffing or weezing on diamond/perl. When I finally got the shiny it used Explosion and self destructed ... I continued the chain and used the master ball as soon as the next shiny appeared.

Many people would have their DS "exploded" against the wall/ground after that.

Only time I ran into a wild pokemon was in Platinum on my way to Sandgem town, had no pokeballs yet and I ran into a shiny bidoof. It annoyed me because I didn't even have a chance to get pokeballs.

I would master ball that bitch.  Unless I only have one or no master balls.

You only ever get one...

Quick Ball?

You dont, in the in-game lotteries if you get the first prize you win a Master Ball. Also I managed to accumulate 3 at one point through owning multiple games.

I would give him the finger for being a level 3 Bidoof.

i would probably start off with a Quick ball.

If failed, start paralyze/sleep followed by a DoT move (if available) and keep throwing ultra balls at it while it kills itself with recoil damage.

Good idea. You got it then? And which 'mon was it?

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

I have yet to see a Shiny, lol.

Just asking in case it happens.

Quick Ball seems wisest, but Shinies are just one of those things that you can't control. If you get it, great, if not, oh well.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.
