A wild Shiny pokemon appears and it's going to use recoil damaging moves

Only time I ran into a wild pokemon was in Platinum on my way to Sandgem town, had no pokeballs yet and I ran into a shiny bidoof. It annoyed me because I didn't even have a chance to get pokeballs.
