What? KZ3 is having better legs than 2 ever did......

And just because this game don't sell 10m or something like Gran turismo/COD games doesn't mean its "not selling well"

Tell me HOW MANY 360 exclusive even manage to sell 10m besides halos?  NADA! exactly so does that mean the rest of the 360 exclusive sold like crap?

Stop grasping at straws. Nobody expected this game to hit 10 million and to act like this game will even get near that amount is being disingenuous.

grasping at staws? Im just saying just cause a game doesn't sell like another much bigger selling game doesn't mean it sold crap.

Yes, but nobody here actually thinks that it needs to sell like Halo or CoD to say it's selling well. If you can find someone here that thinks that, I'll concede the point.

its just and example....omg ahfkjlahdslilghilsghilshrgilshrig FU**!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

Its selling better than Killzone 2, the problem is that you are comparing it to Halo and Call of Duty, and that's like comparing Burnout or DIRT to Gran Turismo

-1- people hated killzone 2

-2- the growth of cod

-3- number of sony exclusives releasing this year

-4- number of games releasing this year

-5- lower meta score then kz2.

Being in 3rd place never felt so good

Killzone 3 is selling well for a PS3 exclusive. If you're asking why Killzone 3 sales aren't as strong as Halo, Call of Duty, or Gears of War it's because it doesn't have as strong of a multiplayer component. Multiplayer is fun, but there is nothing really bringing you back into the game. Resident Evil 5 sold well despite having poor multiplayer because of the strong label Resident Evil 4 laid. Also Killzone doesn't have as epic of a story arc as other Sci-Fi shooters like Halo, Gears of War, or Resident Evil. The events in Killzone 3 are much more loosly tied to the events in other Killzones compared to the other mentioned sci fi shooters. So..

1. Not as addicitve multiplayer as compeditors

2. Not the king of multiplayer games, so it's forgotten quickly since everyone else is playing Call of Duty.

3. Not so massive story arc.

4. Not being the star exclusive on the year of release.

Just to let you know Killzone has great multiplayer. Many people are on (possibly more than Reach as of today) And Gears 2 multiplayer was pretty bad it had many bugs and people complaining. For the Cod and Halo part I agree with you but come on we both know it deserves much more sales than the 1.4 million right now.

Killzone Multiplayer is unbalanced. It's not as polished, and the level of skill varies significantly. Halo separates new players from vetarans based on rank, and unlocks custom armor based on credits earned, and has daily chalenges. Call of Duty unlocks perks, weapons, and weapon mods based on $$$ which is then based off kills. Halo and CoD are polished online games, very compeditive, and I severly doubt that Killzone has anywhere nearly as many online users as either.

wait what? I'm confused here a bit so help me out. You list that halo and cod have things they can unlock as they progress etc.....kinda makes it sound as if KZ does not have such things or something....have you played KZ3 mp?

No my PS3 broke, going to play KZ3 co-op with my friend in the summer. I'm basing a lot of my arguement off KZ2, which I did not feel was up to the level of quality Halo 3, Gears 2 or Modern Warfare 1 were at.

Halo is Halo. When I talk to my young patients who own an Xbox (they seldom own a PS3, honestly!) they often mention Halo when I ask what games they play. Halo is legendary.

Killzone is just a solid shooter franchise among many, such as Crysis, Quake, Far Cry, Medal of Honor, Resistance, Rainbow Six, S.T.A.L.K.E.R., Wolfenstein, Battlefield, Doom and Duke Nukem.

I am yet to finish the SP for Killzone 3 which is an rare accurance because i am one of those who likes doing that.

But the reason i believe is that they stamped down and removed alot of community features from the Mutliplayer: they decided to have less then more. Because of that, its has an weak community, which results in less people playing all the time, and because there are less people thats less playing KZ3 on peoples friends list that is an drawing factor to get people to buy and also less people telling friends to buy and play MP with them.

Of Course That's Just My Opinion, I Could Be Wrong

For me atleast this is the reason:

It's exactly the same as the second one with minor updates... they should have just named it Killzone 2.2 or something. :P

because stupid ps3 fans dont support their great exclusives.

if these games were on xbox they would sell like this:

Killzone 3: 6 million LTD

Uncharted 2: 7 million LTD

GOW3: 5.5 million

i dont get it these are the sales they deserve but they dont get them

Hahaha no, GOW3 would probably top out at 2 mil as a 360 exclusive and Uncharted 2 would probably top out at 3.5 million. Killzone 3 ~4.5 million just because of all the commercials.
