I think I kinda understand why 3DS is so bad in EU:

I remember the pricing was open and retailers abused that, can someone confirm it is overpriced in EU?

Well, GAME says the RRP is £229.99, but you can buy it for £196.99 online. That converts directly out to $375.20 and $321.56 respectively - which isn't too bad.

Ummm.... that's horrible...... I wouldn't buy it.... amazingly overpriced.

It is pretty high, actually - maybe this is the reason for low sales. However, I feel that the media has played a larger role.

That's $120 and $70 more than in U.S.A.

I'm convinced, this and lack of SW is the reason.

You have to remember VAT is included in the sales prices he gave, whereas sales tax isn't on the US prices (right?)

Just so you guys know, the PS3 launched in the UK at £425, which is close to $700 in the US.

We're used to being screwed on the prices in the UK

Yes.  The 3DS would be $300 if it had a 20% tax included in the price.  Still a bit cheaper, but it narrows the gap.

@radishhead how you figure the media plays a role
