Why is everybody here assuming that Nintendo would release a new console that is only on-par with current HD consoles? Nintendo has repeatedly said that if they release a console it has to bring something new to the table. HD graphics are only one aspect of their new console... we will have to wait until Nintendo previews the console to see what the innovative new features are.

I just hope Nintendo makes a console that is strong enough to get mullti-platform titles from the next generation Xbox and Playstation consoles.

Finally, news flash for everyone: The makers of Unreal Engine will still say that the new Nintendo console is not strong enough to run it.

I can see it! Reggie will go into stage and say: Patcher was right!, then Iwata would join in to present the WiiHD, an improved Wii with the same power as the 360/PS3...

I highly doubt Nintendo will anounce a new console this year, although with them you never know what will happen.

Yeah me too - even though I'm against this whole WiiHD thing, I don't want to have to buy another console so soon (I've yet to buy a 3DS)

I'd rather get some great new games for Wii

If the next Nintendo system had similar HD graphics to this gen, it will flop... They need true 1080p to make a graphical difference. I guess we should wait and see what happens.

Why on Earth is Nintendo going to compromise another Zelda offering by releasing it on the system it wasn't built for? And this is no twilight either - this is supposed to be the title that shows Wii Sports mechanics can work in a so called "serious" title.

Unless there is some sort of trick with this new console. Maybe it's just a console add on. Who knows, but I am def. excited for E3 if it means new technology.
