VGChartz is one of the few places that has actual Nintendo fans, who have been driven out of most other major online gaming outlets. Non-nintendo fans are ironically genuinely more excited about this idea.
The response over at GoNintendo is similarly more middling

I wouldn't say we have actual nintendo fans, we have whinny nintendo fans. People like me and Khuutra (maybe), will love to see what the future holds.

I too have noticed it is the non-Nintendo fans raving more about this than actual Nintendo fans themselves. How odd.

As ever, I am always excited for the new, be it revolutionary or evolutionary.
I'm excited for the possibility of more games, especially

I will say that there is a contingent of whiny Nintendo fans (that is to say ones that whine at Nintendo, as opposed to those who like to whine at third parties which is a broader group), but most of us are just jaded in terms of Nintendo doing what the media wants, and are naturally suspicious of anything the media's clearly so excited about
When i see something from Nintendo, i'll get excited

Well I personally don't care about the specs, or how much a game pushes a system, but whether the game is good.
I mean, sure RE4 showed off what the GC, PS2, and the Wii (despite how developers refuse to see it), but if it was the awesome design that kept me replaying it... on three versions of it.
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

Mr Khan, according to the IGN article: "Our sources have said the the console is significantly more powerful than the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and that Nintendo's intent is to recapture the hardcore market. Another source said it is capable of 1080p resolutions.
Pay attention to the bolded part...IF that´s true, maybe some Nintendo fans are worried the company will stray away from the whole philosophy that made the Wii and DS so successful, while "hardcore" gamers salivate at the idea of a "hardcore" Nintendo (not that they really helped the GameCube..)..anyway, what do you think?
