Hey guys some dude at Digg is trashing VGChartz. We need to get in there and defend it. I hate it when people say Chartz is inaccurate like it's the cool thing to say.

I find that it's usually the fanboy whose console isn't doin' too hot that likes to disregard and trash VGChartz... just an observation.

I suspect 20m is just out of reach unless there were a lot more being stockpiled than I suspected. Most of us figured Wii would hit 17m by Jan 1st, with a shot at 18m. That seems almost certain now, and it may even bmp into 19m when the holiday season ends. Thatwould make it almost guaranteed to hit 22-23 m by the end of the fiscal year. This means it would match 6yrs of GCN sales in under 18 months. Even of it does jus tend up being a "fad" that's just incredible.

the wii is no longer a fad. it's NOW AN ICON IN THE VIDEOGAME WORLD!! (just like the ps2!!) it will definitely beat ps1 sales! (not 100% sure it will beat ps2's sales?)
