There's a difference between a literal statement and an example. That was the latter. Your whole point was that it's games like Deca Sports, Carnival Games, Wii Play or whatever other games like that which appeals to the main userbase of the Wii, so that's the userbase that they should focus on (and that that is what they're doing with this lineup). I would suggest that Zelda does not fit into that userbase just as much as Xenoblade or The Last Story do not, irrespective of the size of those franchises, and that they are all far more appealing to us forum dwellers. So, like I said, taking it to its logical conclusion, why make any games at all that appeal to the forum dwellers if we're such a tiny market segment? Why not just release endless versions of Wii Sports, Wii Fit et al? |
No, you're wrong. They shouldn't JUST focus on that userbase, because it's not JUST that userbase that's on the system. That's not what I'm saying.
What I'm saying is that there is no problem with the mix of titles they have coming up for the Wii. The titles are appealing to the userbase on the console. It's not exactly as bad as people are making it out to be. If it was, the Wii would be selling less than 100k per week already.
