I've never cared for Final Fantasy much, but these characters look pretty nice. Less like Tidus and Vaan, more like Sephiroth and the other popular FF characters. Maybe a bit too much Cloud in the Versus characters though..

I dont think Sephiroth looks girly. But what do you think about Kuja from FF9?
