i just hope its controller friendly. I really dont want to go out and buy an arcade stick. the controls for street fighter 4 is horrible enough you actually need the arcade stick to play good :(

That IGN review is actually bullshit lol.

Knocking marks off because a fighting game has a cheesy story mode. When that fighting game is Mortal Kombat... The story WILL be cheesy if you have any idea of the games history.

It's one of the only games this gen to be in 1080p, and it actually looks great too, yet it gets that graphics score...  Gets cut because the art style hasn't changed much since 1992? WHAT!? Does this mean Street Fighter whatever should be cut down on marks? Mario? Metal Gear Solid? Halo?

The games online component is hardly mentioned at all...

He says there are 4 sections of the super gauge, yet there are 3...

Getting a 6 on presentation because you can't pause/skip cutscenes...

Yeah. It's like he's hardly played the series at all, isn't a fan of the game and just wants to mark it down for silly little things.

GameTrailers gave it 9.4.

Some of the review are iffy. IGN gave it a 6 out of 10 for presentation and call MK out on poor story when compare to none MK video game effort.... what???? They gave Marvel vs Capcom a 7.5 for presentation and that game had NO story to talk about a 2 page comic strip as ending for every character and was stripped to the bones on availible contents. You have got to be shitting me! What are fighting game lately that had 'great story'??? Street Fighter? Boob or Alive? Boob Calibur? What a joke.

edit: I am in a bit of a rant mode here so I'll add further. This IGN review was SHIT. It gave a brief background story, complained about the poor story and went to complain that the single player mode is NOT FUCKEN FAIR because you're fighting at 1v2 odd somtimes and the boss fights are 'broken'

The more I read from that review the more piss off I get, I've edited my previous post with a more serious rant. In short its a piece of shit review that SHOULDN'T have made it pass editorial. It gave virtually no relevant details on a very big portion of the game and didn't even touch up on the actual character balance, which is the MOST IMPORTANT SHIT you can have in a fighting game (instead he bitched about single player balance). This feels like some random jo-blow's opinion blog and the editor at ign should think long and hard on what is more valueble. deadline and zero-hour review or an actual review that gives them credibility. I will never trust their review on fighting game again. This is just so completely shit that it has turn me off them IGN for good.
