Forums - Microsoft - Alan Wake 2? Definately another 360 exclusive.

Of course this will be a 360 exclusive! So long as it retains the brilliance of the original, it will be another must-have!

The significance of '360 exclusive' is that the game must be coming out very soon, as opposed to speculation that it would hit a Sony or Ninty console. It will likely use the same engine as the first, allowing them to put lots of effort into the story, and to make a titload of cash even if it doesn't sell all that many copies.

Alan Wake 2? Not sure I am ready for more dudes with axes and flying crows. Maybe they thow in a dude with a chainsaw this time...

Seriously though, they were making a psychological thriller action shooter sandboxish game...and pretty much establish narrative rules where they can throw almost anything at the gamer and have it fit the story...and all they can come up with is dudes with axes and bigger dude with an axe.

If it wasn't for those 2 DLC chapters which were properly trippy, I'd say the game was quite lackluster.

So sure Remedy, make more of em...milk it to death. If you're stuck with ideas, throw zombies in.

Pay attention, folks.  Here's a big fan of a console that doesn't feel obligated to prop up every single big exclusive released for it.  Watch and learn.

LOL WHAT O_O

I thought my post was clear in indicating that I didn't like it...lol.

I supported it at first as I was playing it, thinking it'll grow on me but by the time it was all said and done I found it a very repetitive shallow experience.

I don't care though, they can make part 2 if they wish...I may even give it a shot if it looks fun.

HaHa i Know man it was clear and i understand it perfectily i just had to do that face lol  thought it would of be a perfect time to use it hahahahaha

Releasing a single sequal hardly counts as milking the franchise, for milking, see CoD or Guitar Hero.

Yeah, I don't get the milking comment either. Sequels aren't allowed now? It's not like they weren't talking about future games from the getgo, so I don't exactly see how this is surprising.

themanwithnoname's law: As an America's sales or NPD thread grows longer, the probabilty of the comment "America = World" [sarcasticly] being made approaches 1.

Good News!

Alan Wake was one of the reason I bought an Xbox 360.  I think it's a little hard for the causual - as several of my non gamer friends are very interested, but without an FPS under their belt, it's just to hard for them.  I really wished they had made an 'easy' or 'non gamer' mode.

Anyone think they should of made it so you can play as either Alan Wake or his wife (looking for Alan Wake)? (

I wonder how many people didn't play cause you had to be a dude.)

Alan Wake is fun if you like to be ocassionally terrified.  I think it has great visuals - and even better sound (great time to have 5.1 with a subwolfer).  The game uses both to make a really interesting and hauting atmosphere.  It reminds me of a one of the Nightmare mazes at an amusement park.   I think the sequil should use Kinect and curious to see what they create.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon!

Tell me a funny joke!

I haven't played the DLC yet but I really enjoyed the first one. Glad I bought it, took me awhile. I heard so much about the lack of enemy variety, but it seemed to have the same variety as any FPS I play. I really dont know where the complaints came from. They had you standard guys in there. A long range, a strong big guy, a quick guy, a normal, and the birds. How man enemies do other games have?

It doesn't matter if it's your second "tug" or tenth, it's still milk.

here is one of the reasons why i loved playing the first one
