Checked NEOGAF for more information and someone pointed out this interview by eurogamer:
"Eurogamer: Do you see a future when you'll be able to play Street Fighter on a home console and then transport your profile onto a handheld when you leave the home and continue playing? Is cross-platform play between home and portable consoles possible?

Yoshinori Ono: Yeah, I think we're probably three months too early to answer that question. But if you're going to be at E3, see you there"

So it could mean: 3DS - Wii; 3DS - Wii 2; PS3 - NGP.

sounds like ps3-NGP to me...

either way E3 will be interesting! always good to see new HW

Is this something Nintendo have talked about? transmitting live video to a TV or console? I only heard them mention recording movies in 3D... If I could play 3DS games on my television (assuming they'd look decent) that would be a major incentive towards buying...

They've not spoken much on it at all yet. Largely because they've not yet even announced their next home console.

The Wii is already in a similar position as the Gamecube was in 2005/6. 2012 is only going to be worse with next to nothing left to be released, so it would make sense to launch a new console next year, possibly as early as spring. A console that is on the verge of dying doesn't last another two and a half years.

I think there is more in the works than you're considering.

Also, with the console still selling at the same rate as the PS3/X360 at $200, it would financially poor judgement to leave so much money on the table. You can look at their 3DS pricing as evidence of their economic strategy.

Gamecube had the problem of low software, low console sales and already low price. Wii is only just at the low software point and even that is greater than GC in its final years.

I have a feeling he's talking more about the PS3 and NGP. Last year, some Sony guys were saying how since the two are so comparable in power, they'd like you to be able to play your PS3 games on the go via NGP. Even if they don't announce an 'NGP version' of the game, they could still allow it to be 'transported' via the internet, similar to what some PSP games do but it could actually work this time.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

New Nintendo systme will be bad, it would hurt Wii sales, I expect soem sort of hint fall 2011 with E3 2012 showing the Wii successor.

Given the core audience, it does seem more likely. Maybe a downloadable option or something like that.
I doubt a Wii version is coming.
