If someone started developing a game for the Wii right now, it wouldn't probably be finished until Nintendo's next console is released.

Do you think that a game is developed in a week or something?  If it were only that easy...

Well games that are already made would take less time, and there are plenty to choose from.

True.  The Wii could get plenty of ports again.

I thought they liked to call them test runs? Or was that just the other half assed titles?

It depends on what you're talking about.  Dead: Space Extraction is an example of a test run, since it was called a test game from it's inception.  On the other hand, something like Splinter Cell: Double Agent was a half assed title since they just put motion controls on an old game.

No, the old run of ports was not "plenty". It was a large handful, but mostly of games that weren't really big the last generation.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

ok then, what ports would you like to see on Wii?

the good ones I can think of atm being Okami, RE4, Bully (so I've heard) and maybe a few others like scarface and the godfather...

Until you've played it, every game is a system seller!

the original trolls

Wii FC: 4810 9420 3131 7558

mini-games on consoles, cinematic games on handhelds, what's next? GameBoy IMAX?

Me, it should have been the games that sold about 3 million or more. RE4 is about the only one that did that. And it's not about preference, but about hits that would secure the audience. This needed games like Devil May Cry, Final Fantasy, Metal Gear Solid, GTA. Not Okami or Medal of Honor Heroes 2 (as in they should have been merely included, not presented as the main games).

Dragon Quest VIII.  Even though VII is the next mainline game to be remade, I'm half expecting S-E to remake it for 3DS and to instead port VIII to the Wii.

I think a vast majority of Wii owners can't play the same game (or same Gameplay) over and over again.   Ill use myself as a example. I like doing things that iv never done befor, or havent done in the last 4 years. I can totaly enjoy a game and buy a "same Type" game once im done and, lose intrest within 5 min of starting it.

Its why i never bought Mario galaxy 2.   Thats the biggest example.  But I think, it reflex why I din't buy much 3rd party support as well.  3rd party are just trying to copy Nintendos success.

I played the Mario Wii and had a ball. But i dint buy Epic Yarn DKR or any other similar games after.   Ill be waiting 2 more years still befor i can sit and play threw the hole thing  like that again and have fun.

3rd party rip off's arn't going to sell.  Not cause they arn't good. Cause my Refresh needs to reset for the next 4 year. That's why 3rd party are finding every excuse to not publish on the Wii, cause it only sells New Idea's , and Nintendo are the only one's cashing in on it.

Now that iv tryed this new idea? a new rip off software by 3rd party would have to do alot better then the original to even have me consider trying it. And even if its 10 times better, Chanse's are i need 4 years befor I feel like playing "that Type of gameplay" again.

Im tired of 3rd party whining there not making any money.   Cause its not all that complicated.

Someone tell me what programes I need to make Wii games for God sake. If no ones going to cash in on this. I may as well!.

I dunno...you need to talk to Nintendo I think

If I could, I would. Just saying

They dont Give it out. Unless your a known Dev.

Still It would be so amazing if a company made a consule and gave out the Dev Kits to anyone. Just set it Free to anyone to sell or give it away free.

I can imagine alot of bad  stuff coming out.    I bet though some of the worlds best games would be on it.

That im almost sure of.

@ Iamawsome:   They are not helping I think.

there are platforms that are like that, PC and phones....
