Well games that are already made would take less time, and there are plenty to choose from.

I thought they liked to call them test runs? Or was that just the other half assed titles?


It depends on what you're talking about.  Dead: Space Extraction is an example of a test run, since it was called a test game from it's inception.  On the other hand, something like Splinter Cell: Double Agent was a half assed title since they just put motion controls on an old game.
