Eh, if you look at that article... basically all they were looking at was the Story and that's all they were looking for in the games.
So, it's no wonder they didn't like Mario. Or atleast thought it was "same old same old" Same with Halo 3.
They obviously weren't paying very much attention or understood much about the game while playing it.
It makes so much sense. After all, everyone has been feeling Jacki Chan is very unambitious for sticking to his tried and true stuntwork/comedy/action flicks instead of releasing his much anticipated gothic scifi-fantasy/porno/psychodrama reality opera series.
