I suppose that makes sense (didn't realise they'd be some sort of rewards system!), and as long as it's kept under control...

Would I ever come up with some convulted badge?

@Seece- You know, it takes a long time before you come up with a truly amazing idea. It'll come. Just you wait...

Really? I've come up with several in the past which have been implemented into the site, and I gave some small changes which made it into gamrconnect 2.0 ....

You know, if we're talking about new badges, how about posts in the Sales Discussion? You know, you could have:

Taking part- 10 comments in the sales discussion

Stock Broker- 100 comments in the Sales discussion

Sales Guru- 1000 comments in the Sales discussion 

And how about ones for your Games Collection? (If it will still exist, which I assume it will...)

Only Human- Added a game

Casual Gamer- Added 10 games

Hardcore gamer- Added 100 games

Obsessive Compulsive Distinction- Added 500 games

And then you could maybe have something to do with the different consoles as well;

Retrohead- Added a game from a previous generation

Modern Classics- Added a game from 3 generations

Gaming Guru- Added a game from every generation

One of each- Added a game from each console in a generation

 

Of course, with better names and everything, but I don't think these are too 'obscure'...

I suppose, but pretty much all of them can be abused in some way (e.g. the Friends added ones).

The problem with your last set as well, is, all the badges (apart from the staff ones) are suppose to be doable for everyone. Not everyone will have a game from last gen.

how about a standard coin type frame for all the badges? the way it looks right now is a little off, if we have like a ring or texture circle frame around the center images as a templet, I think the overall look would be much better.

I imagin all will get some type of border, something to make them look a bit more professional.
