A new Burnout game is in development by Criterion Games, according to several reports.

Burnout Crash has been rated by the Australian classifications board for a multi-platform release.

Meanwhile, the title has appeared on the LinkedIn profile of an EA software engineer, placing the title on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, according to CVG.

Criterion Games put development of the series on hold while it made Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit, which won the BAFTA for 'Best Multiplayer' last month.

The last title in the series, Burnout Paradise, was released in 2008.

Oh man I hope so, this sounds more like Revenge and past titles going by the "Crash" rather than Paradise.
