No I don't like "Ninty consoles" I like games... and I said last gen blew, that goes for all consoles because everyone lost their way.  It was a lot of redundant games, basically the same stuff that was started in the PS1 and N64 era, just big publishers were trying to make the same game only "better" while small companies tried to copy the big guys, and thus we had a long period of "dark" and "moody" games like Warrior Within and Jak 2 or GTA clones.

As for this year I'm liking De Blob 2 and Lost in Shadow as well as a couple of Wiiware titles and my backlog from over the holidays, for this year my PS3 has been playing Little Big Planet 2, no real "new" games just my backlog on it, some UNS2, and downloading Xenogears to get prepped for Xenoblade, other than that I've been finding PS1 titles to play on my PS3 like Crono Cross.  Yeah I tried Homefront, Killzone 3, and Marvel vs Capcom 3... only game I enjoyed out of the three was MvC3 and I had my fill since it's a hybrid of MvC2 and TvC and doesn't play as well as either. 

So in essence this year has been rather barren for home consoles, though technically I've been playing them a lot just with my old games, though if anything is my next purchase it would have to be Need for speed Shift 2 as I really enjoyed the first one, but it flew under the radar so quick I didn't even know it was out last week.

What I have been spending my time on this year has been the slew of amazing handheld titles that have come out from Pokemon to Okamiden to 999 and now 3DS Street Fighter IV, Pilotwings, Steel Diver, Face Raiders, AR games, Mii Plaza (seriously the RPG game for tag mode is addictive), and Ridge Racer 3D.

So yeah it's all about the games with me and to be honest 2011 has been rather weak for everyone home console wise >_> but this is why I own all current gen consoles I'll always have something new to play that fits my tastes or I'll have enough in my backlog to keep me busy for a while.

Demographics, games for certain groups, there's gaps for everyone especially depending on perspectives, yaddah yaddah, people should just chill and not whine especially if you don't own said console, if you do own said console and you aren't buying the games, then don't whine, if you own the console and games you enjoy aren't coming out, buy some games on another console you own while you wait, thats the whole reason people say one console of either PS3 or 360 plus Wii gives you the whole package, if one isn't coming out with something the other is, if all three in this case are pretty lacking, check out getting a handheld, if you've got enough money to afford every new game and then the time to play them then I salute you, you have no life and probably get your funding from something other than work, so only if you fit in that slim demographic should you have a reason to whine about new games not coming out.

Being a gamer for 20 years kinda makes me used to not having much new to play at the start of the year, this is why you don't trade in your good shit to companies like gamestop lol

^^^ you are definately in the minority considering you think last gen blew and are one of the few and i mean few people who actually bought the De blob 2 or lost in shadow. But hey if thats your opinion i can dig it. Long as your not passing it off as fact.

No i dont have that much money and im not complaining about Wii, i have a PS3 so im set for the year. Even if Wii doesnt put out crap i want (there not) but people who are complaining might only have just a Wii so does that make their complaints not legit??? and no i dont have that much time or money to buy every game i want, I dont even have the HDD space for that. Its kind of messed up to say this but a part of me is glad that Wii library is lacking (IMO) because i spend too much damn money on Sony's machine as is

Also, I'm the exact opposite. I buy mostly Wii and (3)DS games as opposed to PS3 or 360. In total I've played on my Wii over 1,900 of the 2,700 hours which is logged on it, and have enjoyed the vast, vast majority of that time. People saying that it has no games seriously have to look, because that's at least double the amount of time I've spent on my PS360 combined...

So I don't think the library is lacking (anymore), and with the Pandora's Tower video, and the TLS domain registered, the year is getting better and better for the Wii

And yeah I agree with you, my Wii gets the most play time more than PS3 and 360 combined, and there's a reason for that.

And my point was libraries aren't lacking, it just depends on games that appeal to you are coming out lol if not you'll have a drought, if so you won't, simple logic really.

And the last paragraph is particularly true, it depends on your viewpoint and what you call a good game...and anyway, SW droughts are good things. They let you finish uncompleted games (MHTri, for example) and buy games you never had a chance to (DKCR, Epic Yarn, Epic Mickey etc.)

If there was a game released every other week, then I wouldn't get chance to either buy them all, or to play them properly. Sometimes, it's best not to have anything coming out IMO

And Antabus, reading a prior comment of his shows that he's played his Wii more than the PS360 combined. So either he doesn't think there's many good games out for them, or he plays his Wii a helluvalot 

Lol, the line-up looks quite pathetic to say the truth. Last year completely obliterates this year. I'm not including speculative releases, only confirmed games. I'm sure the list will grow (not that much) but it will never touch last years release, not even close.
