I believe that the PS3 is making ground on the 360 but unfortunately I cannot believe these guys they seem to produce numbers out of their arse. A quick look at previous numbers from the same guys should confirm to anybody that they are not a reliable source and historically have been way off the mark.

Umm, so they come up with some imaginary thing called "active" consoles and declare PS3 has more of them, but they dont even reveal how they arrived at the numbers of "active consoles" that they cant possibly truly know?

 

I'll stick with worldwide sales figures (360 ahead by 4.3m if you add most accurate/latest USA/JAPAN/Europe sales) or at least shipped (360 ahead by 2.9 m)

 

Fake.

 

Also, this shows Wii outway ahead, but the hype is all about PS3>360 for distant second. Anybody find that a little odd?

Don't you worry, they wrote ~75M "active units". VGC numbers are true, but they include also units collecting dust in the closets and units not used for gaming, but, for example, as doorstops, paperweights, chocks, bookends, etc...

360 purchase date= 2008 E74 error once and thats it PS3 purchase date=2009 Never failed. I don't bash the xbox due to the fact that i have only had a E74 error which happened two years ago.
