This week is one huge week in the gaming and technology world, and we’re greasing our gears in anticipation for it. Today we’ve announced we’re teaming up with Sony Ericsson to release a brand new game exclusively for the Xperia PLAY.

The game, titled BackStab is set on an 18th century Caribbean island and weaves an epic tale of revenge. Hero Henry Blake has been falsely accused of treason and will go to all means to seek vengeance on his British jailers. With a game play mixing action and adventure, BackStab incorporates an open 3D environment for free roaming, dynamic combat and counter-attacks.

The game is due for release in Q2 2011 and will be exclusive on the Xperia PLAY for 1-month. Check the screenshots below to whet your appetites.

looks damn good for a phone game. I won't buy it by any means but I wanna see how this turns out.
