I didnt say they invented them, I said western writers got thier ideas when writing of vampires from slavic nations in Balkans.

As for Vlad, he was a great ruler and defender, well known for his reststance aginst the Turks. He maybe was alittle brutal, but most of Balkan rulers were back than. And I dont hate anyone who is muslim, i only hate Ottoman Turks and the Moors, but since they dont exist (in that from) I dont really hate anyone. He was giving ottomans taste their own medicine, because they treated people same way all over Balkans.

Without the Moors Western Europe would've never experienced the Reneissance.

The Moors weren't radicals. They also were a rich nation. Most Muslims nations today are filled with fanatic radicals and/or are 3rd world countries.

Absolute bullshit. The Byzantine Empire is what preserved culture trouughout all of Europe. While France is the oldest technically, they were absolutely pathetic compared to all the knowledge and culture preserved in the Byzantine Empire. Saying the Moors perserved culture is as stupid as saying the Catholic church perserved culture.

In fact, Muslims fucked everything up. When the Ottoman empire took over the Byzantine Empire, the Renaissance had basically just begun in Constantinople. In fact the Renaissance accelerated because of the immigration of great thinkers from the Byzantine Empire to Italy.

In case anyone wonders what the same costs are in America...In USD (or about 0.7 Euros to the dollar)

1kg of Rice = $1.10 - $1.25 (bought a 20lb bag for $10 a few weeks ago)

1kg of Flour = $0.50 (about $1.25 for 5lbs)

1kg of Sugar = $1.00 (about $2.50 for 5lbs)

1kg of Chicken = Varies by part (legs and thighs are about $2.00 per kg, whereas breasts are about $4.00 per kg and wings can cost up to $5.00 per kg)

1kg of Pork = $3.50 for most pieces. Bacon is more.

1kg of Beef = $5.00 for ground beef, and can vary from $5.00-$20.00 USD depending on cut. A good ribeye steak is about $15.00 per kilogram, but you can get very nice meat for $6.00 per kg.

1kg of Turkey = As low as $1.00 - $1.50/kg. Cheapest meat we have. Some cuts can be expensive like processed cold cuts at $5.00 per kg or turkey bacon at $5.00, but a whole turkey is around $1.00 - $1.50 per kilogram.

1 Liter of Milk = $0.60 (we buy by the gallon, so about 4 liters for $2.49, but can be on sale for lower than $2/gal at some stores)

5kg of potatoes is about $5.00 USD. They are unbelievably cheap, and even cheaper in bulk. I've seen 50lb of potatoes (about 20kg give or take) sell for $10.00.

Carrots = $2.00 per kg

Salad = $2.00 per kg

Wow, most of them are more expensive over here. So weird. People here are poorer than in the US.

But the quality of them in the US is absolute crap compared to the ones over in Europe. Sadly a lot of European markets are starting to adopt US mass industry practices.

You can ignore history and all. It won't change. I provided a link that proves my point. And what do the Ottomans have to do with this? I was talking about the Moors.

Oh perfect, a link to wikipedia, thare's some great historical knowledge there. That was dripping with sarcasm, if you couldn't tell. I hate to break your bubble, but wikipedia is worse than a hobo on the corner when it comes to historical knowledge.

You seem to have yoru facts completely wrong, claiming that the Moors perserved culture and started the Renaissance is just silly. I also never said anything about the Moors, I was just blaming the Ottomans for slowing down the Renaissance, which comes from the Byzantines, not the Moors.

Edit: TO make sure you are aware what I am saying. The Moors did have culture and science, that is correct. However they are NOT responsible for perserving culture/knowledge that later led to the Renaissance. That was solely and entirely the Byzantines' doing. The culture in Europe exists because of them, not the Moors. Except for Spain of course.

totally...growing 50000 potatoes rather than a couple dozen completely destroys the quality of them.

Well if you think you are convincing by making statements and saying they're facts because you're saying them, I don't know who you think you're kidding. Read some material on the matter. Beleive it or not, that Wikipedia link offers good information.

Now if you could genuenly provide any sources to indicate that the Moors didn't preserve Greek knowledge, and that Western Chriaitans didn't gain access to them during the Reconquista, be my guest.

Oh, did you know that if it weren't for the Moors instead of writing "1, 2, 3...", you'd be writing "I, II, III..."?

Read my edit, also read the following:

Har, Michael H. History of Libraries in the Western World, Scarecrow Press Incorporate, 1999,

and

Norwich, John Julius, A Short History of Byzantium, 1997,

Both understand that the Renaissance flourished in Italy because greek scholars and texts left the Byzantine Empire and went to Italy, a bunch to Florence if I remember correctly (which some consider the birth of the Renaissance). Moors had nothing to do with it. I am also very well aware of the arabic numbers and the roman numerals.
