What do you expect after a 8.9 magnitude earthquake and not releasing in the west? sales aren't expected to be bright, but next week numbers you will be blown away.
Buying in 2015: Captain toad: treasure tracker,
mario maker
new 3ds
yoshi woolly world
zelda U
majora's mask 3d
I just noticed I put 25th instead of 19th. I must have been thinking too much about 3DS's release date.

The numbers dropped a bit, 7K I think which is quite a bit. PSP also dropped, and the fact that a few sony factories had to be shut down, must have made some difference.

Killzone 3 befuddles me. Killzone as a franchise has historically sold better on par or better in Europe than in North America. We have the first game at around 750k in the Americas, while it sold over 2 million worldwide, and the second was selling better in EMEAA for the majority of its life, though lifetime it's Americas sales were ever so slightly higher overall thanks to some unusually strong legs over the past several months.
For Killzone 3 to be selling 50% more in North America so far (over 100% last week) is surprising.

i think the fast gameplay and the light yet awesome realistic movements played a huge role. lots of people in america hated the heavy controls.

great start for homefront especially on 360 i think it will sell well, after i finish crysis 2 il trade it in for homefront looks a promising game regardless of reviews.
...not much time to post anymore, used to be awesome on here really good fond memories from VGchartz...
PSN: Skeeuk - XBL: SkeeUK - PC: Skeeuk
really miss the VGCHARTZ of 2008 - 2013...
Way to go, PS3! Can't wait to see the new shipped gap from the next financial reports. Could it be under 2 mil?

This confuses me then, because everyone is touting Move as a major success. If only 1/5 of the PS3 sales since Move released was actually due to the Move, then is it really doing well? |
People who already own a PS3 are allowed to buy Move without buying another PS3. Kinect on the other hand would have a higher proportion of its sales bundled with a 360, given people are wanting to buy Kinect and upgrade to the new and imporved 360s at the same time. I don't recall seeing any stats on ratio of Kinect sales that are 360 bundles (except for really early on), I'd quite like to fill that knowledge gap.
Nicely done PS3. DS doing incredibly well mere days before 3DS releases. Pleased to see KZ3 easily pass 1 million inside a month.
Mass Effect 2 (PS3) sails 300K this week, without taking account of PSN sales. I hope it's legs stay above 10K long term. I'm still crossing fingers for 1 million before ME3 comes along. Hoping they will drop the price substantially by the middle of the year to boost sales (that's what I'm waiting on). Still tossing up whether to get it off PSN or buy it on disc myself.
Really pleased to see LBP2 stabilise at >30K for the last few weeks. This game should cruise on up to LBP numbers, I imagine holiday 2011 will see a significant boost in sales. It is seeing a fair bit of bundling and discounted prices though.
Is it me or is MLB11: The Show putting up some rather disappointing numbers, given the great reviews the game has recieved. Then again compared to MLB 2K11 it's doing amazingly.
