Unbelieveable if true. Hopefully there'd be an influx of Japanese people into the English construction industry, when it takes 9 weeks to fix a gas leak and 4 weeks to fix a pot hole, you know there is something wrong. I don't want to sit there in the temporary traffic light that is more imbalanced than the Nazi party, waiting for it to go green, while those bastards are munching their sandwiches at 8AM in the morning.
Disconnect and self destruct, one bullet a time.

Japan are well prepared. While Donations are all well, you are giving to an very rich and well organised nation when it comes to natural disasters, the most organised to be fact.
Of Course That's Just My Opinion, I Could Be Wrong
It's only that fast because it has to be.
Also in Japan there are cases where potholes take several months to be repaired. Although I must say that generally roads are in a very good condition at least in the parts of Japan I visited.

We need to deport Romanians and repopulat the country with Japanese people.

this is completely impossible
“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

Well it doesn't say what kind of resources were used. I'm sure their was a huge crew working in shifts 24 hours a day with tons of machines and as fast as humanly possible. Where as a road in Canada has a crew of like 5-10 employees working for 8 hours a day. Thats why it takes so dang long.
I bet a hundred or so workers backed by heavy machines did this. Also you said three days but the report in the source says the actual road was oppened after six!

LOL, here in Romania we have about 3 employees slacking off for 5 of those 3 hours. That is if they show up of course.

I think you have to let the road "cool" for a few days after the speedy repair/rebuilt?

Yah are's take lots of breaks too. Though I do usually see them doing work. But most of the time you see the "Under constuction sign" and not a single worker working on the road. I asked my mayor once and he said they hire a crew for 8 hour periods who work on the roads. So 8 hours that day and the rest of the time nothing is being done. Not to mention employees need 15-minutes for every 2 hours of work with a 30-minute break at the four hour mark! So that is another hour of nothing being done!
I'd rather see them put 50-100 guys on each road, after the 8 hours is done trade in another team of 100 and keep working round the clock till the work is done. I bet thats how this was done in Japan.
