You can say comunism has its similarities with religion, but to say its a religious regime is dead wrong and incredibly false. Communism has always been agaisnt religion.

I'm saying that Communism (especially if there's a charismatic dictator involved) becames a religion itself (it's pretty much that way in North Korea). The fact that religions are forbidden is only because they go against the official ideology (Christians did that too when European states were theocracies).

Communism is a political ideology not a religion. Just because one man is in charge of erything and thinks himself better than everyone else deosnt make communism reeligion. Religion is about worhiping higher power - something superior and higher than a mortal man- a God. Comunism has its similarities with religion, buts its not THE RELIGION

Kim Jong Il, the Communist dicator in North Korea is viewed by his people as a higher being, and he is worshipped as a god. It's called the cult of personality (in this case taken to a great extreme). A religion is an ideology, that can sometimes affect politics, hence why in Communists country they'r e banned. No competing ideologies may survive.

I highly doubt they worhsiped him as a God. I mean, do you even know what a God means? Just the fact that Kim Jong breads air means hes not a higher being.

They do. Just watch documentaries regarding North Korea and stop making assumptions.

Oh god... I swear I have to facepalm at every one of your posts in this thread.

Communism is an ideology.

Christianity is a religión WITH an ideology (in practice).

They interfere with each other.

Communism takes down christianity.

Is christianity a political religion? Where did I say religion isnt a type of ideology? Seriously, people in this thread gotta stop arguing with me on the stuff I didnt even write about. do you people get any kind of pleasure when clikcing quote on my post? Damn... >_<

It isn't in theory, but in practice the church always wants to mess with politics.

I assumed this would be about India, I guessed wrong!

They dont worhsip him as a higher power deity (aka God-religion), I dont need to watch a western made anti communist propaganda documentary on them to know that

Again, baseless assumptions.

Dude, you need to stop with the idiocy and watch a film about the DPRK.

They worship their leader as a supernatural deity. Watch the videos of when Kim Il Sung died. They aren't 'Western-made anti-communist propaganda documentaries'. They are simply people smuggling in cameras to film what they are allowed to by the government, and show how deplorable conditions are.

Its absolutely deplorable what they go through. Of course, if you want to be brain-dead and not learn about what opression looks like, feel free to continue blindly.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

Here is the funeral for Kim Il Sung:

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

Well, correct me if I'm wrong, but to stabilize the current population, wouldn't you need to have like 2.2 kids per family?  If every single person followed a 1 child law, I don't think you realize how drastically the population would drop...granted I'm not saying that's a bad thing.

Money can't buy happiness. Just video games, which make me happy.

More countires in Asia and Africa should have this kind of policy too. People over there have got to get something better to do.
