I think you may be right. I hopes so at least. Competition is good for us, the consumer. Sony has a lot of internal competition with their own studios, which is great, but it's more fun when the 360 is part of the argument.  I just wish that their were more 360 exclusives, it's not as interesting trying to argue multiplatform games.


shows most excl game makers for 360 werent pushing the graphics envelope, makes me reeaaaallllyyy want to see kingdoms now, crytek is a graphics whore developer so it should be good, epic is also but the crysis engine appears to be superior on the first try, though from all reports arkham city is freaking gorgeous.

IGN gave Uncharted 2 a 10 for graphics.

Crisis 2 may be the graphics king on a console, it ain't the PS3 though.

they also gave Killzone 3 which many consider the best looking FPS around and some the best looking game on PS3 a 9.5. You got to remember that standards get higher as time goes on 

well, then by your definition IGN states that Cysis 2 does NOT deserve a perfect graphics score by todays standards.


not my definition IGNs and I think you will find that IGN do think that Crysis 2 deserves that score at least on 360 and PC...

If they actually give two figs about Crysis.... Uncharted is probably going to park its half tucked, catchphrase laden ass onto the graphics "throne" and laugh at the peasantry for the third time.

lets put it this way they gave CoD 4 10 for graphics and Killzone 2 and yet the later games didn't get 10s see how that works?

People can blabber all they want, Crysis 2 does not surpass KZ3 - less frantic gunbattles and extremely inferior framerate and textures. Uncharted 3 will just ram it down further.

So whats Sony going to do about this, the PS3 has always been known as the graphics king because of the power of the PS3, yet the Cryengine has produce very impressive graphics not only on the PS3 but the X360. So could we see Sony really forcing developers now to get as much as they can out of the PS3. So far we know there's plenty of juice left into it.

Not to mention the next gen coming around the corner and NGP games looking close to PS3 graphics, could we soon see a PS3 game that will really blow everything out of the water?
