Ok, so, I was told a few days ago from a friend that there's a PS2 Rock Band.  I'm thinking, "wtf?  No it's just 360 and PS3...but I'll humor him," so I say, "oh, I didn't know that."  But there is!?  This certainly wasn't advertised to me...or I've just been living under a rock.

So, a few questions:

A(sorta related)  Why no Wii version, and will there be one soon?

B)  Wii version isn't that important, as my friend already has a PS2 guitar, and it'd likely be cheapest to get Rock Band for PS2 as we've already got 1, maybe even 2 guitars.  But the question, GH guitars will work with Rock Band for PS2 100% correct?  Those top 5 frets aren't neccessary?

C)  I know you can buy the game separately from the accessories...can you buy the accessories separately as well?  We really only need the drumkit, and perhaps the mic...even though we won't be singing much, it'd be nice to have if we want to try the singing.  But really, I (or my friend) just want to buy the game and the drums, and we'd be pretty much set, as it's usually 3 of us hanging out regularly anyway.

D)  Are there problems with the PS2 version or is it a good port? 

A. Think Wii version is in the works.

B. Yes all guitar hero guitars should work as Harmonix has tried very hard to make sure all guitars are compatible.

C. You can buy the game separately but won't be able to buy the parts at stores until February unless you do ebay which is what I did for the drums and you can actually buy the mic from logitech which is the same one from rock band.

D.Is an OK port. Is missing online and the world tour.

Online isn't a big deal, I'm guessing the world tour isn't a big deal either...we just like to play the songs. I pretty much never give a damn about the characters in the background.

How much do you think it costs to buy accessories like drums on eBay?

You can get the drum kit for about $100-110 with shipping which is about 20-30 more than what it cost if you wait. Of course those prices are for the 360 version which is in high demand so might be cheaper or might be more who knows. Is great game so which ever way you decide to buy it I am sure you will have a blast.
