They can only go so far with Pokemon in its current form. I mean, how many new pokemon and stats can you add? Eventually they'll have to start evolving the franchise in other ways, so they'll probably want to switch from colors to something else anyway.

Hmm, what will they do when they run out of colors...

I say we come back in about 500 years and then continue this discussion.

Although even then there will be plenty of colors left.
