I have to admit that Forza has stolen the racing sim crown from GT5 this gen.

10x better graphics are obviously not possible, but I think the talented guys at Turn10 might surprise us with Forza4.

Well considering GT is driving sim, not a racing sim. So I guess no one has to give a damn about this as nothing was stolen since GT never had that crown.

Current console "racing sims" would probably be... F1? Nascar? Forza. There isn't many is there.

See my previous post above, please.

the entire point of GT is to recreate the driving experience of vehicles. Racing is not the point. You drive while racing, yes. But instead of focusing in the racing, the vehicles are the main focus, hence why GT5 has so many cars. Polyphony would rather you buy the expensive Ferrari and run around various practive tracks figuring out how it handles and make you feel like your driving it than racing around the track hitting and bumping every other car like an idiot.

this

I just got finished a 5 hour tuning session with the GT40 to maximize it's performance tested it on about every single track under almost all conditions, I'm still not done.

on that note, when GT5 does get down to the actual profession racing Le Mans, Super GT, Nascar, Touring Car Series, etc. it's much better than what's provided in Forza 3 imo, but that's like 20% of the actual GT experience, and not the focus of it by any stretch. I am looking forward to what they will do in Forza 4 though

I have to admit Killzone stole the Sci fi Fps crown from Halo. WTF no it didn't. GT5 has double the amount of cars that Forza has

More cars doesn't mean a better game. And when you have 14 different iterations of one car I don't count that as 14 cars.  A skyline is a skyline. A supra is a supra.

GT5 has better graphics better online more cars more feutres and sold much more. Over 6 million sold with no bundles in Emmea and Americas.

I've played the game. The premium cars may look slightly better but the other cars don't. The trees are 2D and look terrible. Its not that great looking of a game.

Whats the pit maneuver?

It's a popular technique used by police to turn cars around whereby they tap the back quarter of the car they're chasing with their own to spin it out.

Skip to 1:20 to see it.

Wow that's cool!

Of course you should have that in a racing game too since that's how real cars behave.

Sure that's how real cars behave, but this is not how race car drivers behave.

Unfortunately it is how people in forza 2 online races behaved. Not only spinning you out, but forcing you off track into the wall and pretty much out of the race with damage.

If you want it real also add disqualifications and banning you from races for x days after breaking the rules.

Forza 4 will look better but not 10 times better. That makes me feel this is just a rumour. For the game too look 10 times better it needs to have a resolution of 7200p.

Or 10 times the no. of polygons which also seems impossible.

Agreed 10 times better sounds like complete BS.  I'm pretty sure not even games released 10 years from now will look 10 times better.

Wow are you like and IGN reviewer who gave GT5 8.5/10 and 5/10 for presentation. The trees look much better than forza. And what he said ^ GT5 is not a tree simulator. The cars look excellent.

I only ask that Turn 10 allows DFGT support for Forza 4 and I'm all set. Had lots of fun with Forza 3 as it was a pretty amazing simulator

But in Forza 3 your car just ghosts and goes right through the other cars if you try to do stuff like that.

Forza 3 has better looking environments, trees included.
