Fox

That blond lady on Fox News. From the various times I've seen her clips, I wanted to punch her as soon as she opened her mouth.

Yeah.  We're easily freaked out.

This is why The Sixth Sense and The Ring were such big hits over here.

How sure are we Libya isn't able to destroy the world with some nuke now that it's being invaded?

I have stopped. Rebecca Black has given me a newfound respect for Biebs.

...I still don't get why people are buying salt like crazy though.

Also, I'm assuming this is a California or West coast thing because I haven't heard anything about it.  I saw a few spots on the news during commericals mention radiation a few days after the quake, but haven't seen anything since then.

Between swine flu, bird flu, SARS, and countless other paper-tigers built by the media is anyone surprised that the mainstream media continues to play on people's fears for ratings anymore?

People all over the world are paranoid of radiation, which i would say they are right to be (a silent, undetectable source of horrible long-term disease), but given how muchy radiation we're exposed to in the interest of preventing disease (hint: Much much worse than anyone except the actual Fukushima reactor workers have been exposed to in the last few weeks), it's an irrational fear

They'll buy up Iodine by the truckload, but they'll let their doctor give them an MRI for a nagging cough
