Yea, pretty much there were a lot of factors that made this game not so great. Heck, it even feels similar to the Rogue Squadron games as well, just without the Star Wars music, characters, voices, and fans to hold it up. There were some cool areas, but most of the game was meh, especially the final level.
It doesn't control as bad as people say it does. It obviously takes some getting used to, but if you don't jerk the controller around and do steady and smooth movements, you'll be fine. Like somebody said, sometimes the speed boost and 180 turn feel like a 50/50 chance of pulling off though.
In all, I would only recommend renting it, but I wouldn't recommend it over other games such as Heavenly Sword, Uncharted, Motorstorm, Resistance, Ratchet and Clank, ect.
