Well, get the PS3, try it for a few months. If you don't like it - sell it on, and get a Wii.

If you were to get a Wii and not like that, you wouldn't be able to fall back on the PS3 without somekind of financial input from yourself. With the PS3, there's less of a risk.

As to killing off your 360: Stick it in the smallest space you can find, and bundle it in clothes. Turn your thermastat up to full and leave the console on contantly for about 4 days. That should do it.

As you already have a console, it sounds like you could just get $500 worth of games for it and not get a new console. If there are 10 or so games you want for the 360, it might be worth just getting games.

I say get a Wii + 4 $50 games + 1 Wiimote + 1 Nunchuck and spend $10 of your own.

Or get a DS Zelda bundle for $150 + Brain Age and Brain Age 2 for $40 + 10 other games and spend nothing of your own at all.

If you really want to play the PS2 games without the extra expense of the PS3, why not get a PS2 + Wii together? Still less than $400 so can get a couple games or controllers or stuff too.

Yeah, the 360 has a lot of great games, you already have the console, so buy the games you want from the 360, and get the wii.

Go Wii60, that's a wider library (Halo 3, Super Mario Galaxy for example)

Actually buy two Wiis for $250 each.  You'll buy able to sell one for like $600 on Ebay, and then you can get a PS3 too.
