Eh. I find that to be very surprising. I thought it was a well-done scene, but a "WHERE'S MY WIFE" was said more than once.

Um, No. The closest I've come to any emotional attachment in a game was feeling a bit hollow after Rally Point Omega.

Damn, people. Are you made of stone? I almost cried during that scene. I even made a thread immediately following.

BullShit, It was a sad scene but i was laughing, the entire thing felt stupid and out of place in Gears...
Atto Suggests...:
Book - Malazan Book of the Fallen series
Game - Metro Last Light
TV - Deadwood
Music - Forest Swords
That part defintely wasn't sad at all. I've seen way sadder moments in games. For example, the end of Final Fantasy X and the end of MGS 3.
*could be a spoiler but i havent been upto it yet

Third Chapter, so right after that.
It was so absurb it had me laughing out loud. He goes on this big detour to find his wife (ignoring everyone else trapped the same way btw), finally finds her, decides on the spot she's too damaged and ugly now and shoots her in the head. That's murder and anyone who has a spouse or a child is not going to shoot them right on the spot so they can continue with their 'work'.
