If you are considering an  FPS why not KZ3?  The game is Really Amazing.    If not MASS EFFECT 2 then.

ME2 = MASTERPIECE

He got KillZone 3 about 5 days after it came out...He also got KillZone 2 about 5 days after it came out...both times they got lost in the Call Of Duty mix LOL. He played both for about a week and went back to Modern Warfare 2 and Black Ops. I personally like the KillZones better too but...the game that I am going to buy isn't for me.

So far everyone says Mass Effect 2 is the obvious choice LOL. Ok so now the questions:

1)How long is the game?

2)Can you make your character as in Fallout?(Customize)

3)Do you upgrade different things like in Fallout?(Guns, Speed,...)

4)Just tell me about it in general LOL(Anything!)

If you were going to pick him up an FPS go with Bad Company 2 but out of those 2 choices i say Mass Effect 2 because that was an amazing game while homefront looks like a generic shooter at best.

1) If you was going to complete every quest in the game, your first playthrough should take between 45-55 hours.

2) Yes you can make your own characters appearance, class and history. (although the default Shepard is the best for appearance)

3) Yep you get upgrades for the weapons and armor, infact doing this has a big impact on how things pan out in the story. But thats enough said about that.#

4)  its a sci-fi game set in the year 2183. You are a commander of your own ship (normandy SR2). in the ship you can talk to your crew, upgrade weapons and armor and set off on missions. The basic plot without giving away spoilers is, human colonies are being captured around the galaxy, it turns out it's a formiddle foe who are doing this and you have to recruit a good squad to set off to try and stop this. But you have to make sure your crew is up to the task aswell, make sure there fully concentrated on the mission so that means keeping them happy and getting them loyal to your cause. Failing to do this can result in different ways the game ends. The characters are the best set of people you'll meet in a game, they seem so real and have LOADS of conversation options, you will really get to care for them and talk to them in between missions while your cruising in your ship. The combat is similar to gears of war/Uncharted as in aiming taking cover and shooting, it works well, you cant go guns blazing like say COD games, you do have to take cover and pick your shots. The Story will grip you engrossed like a good book and movie and you will want to carry on when it ends i asure you.

Do you just find new weapons?

Do you buy new weapons?

Do the weapons and stats upgrade on their own or do you get to pick what to upgrade like in Fallout?

What do you get to upgrade? Weapons...Speed...Strength?

You find weapons while on missions, and you also buy weapons at stores on certain planets.

The upgrades are either bought from shops or you come across them on missions. You then have to go to the research facility on your ship and research the upgrade for your weapon or armor.
the upgrades can vary from better accuracy, more damage, more ammo that type of thing.

Thanks

Mass Effect 2 seems to fit in with what I wanted to get.

No contest, Mass Effect 2 by a mile.
