Do you think current situation of DA2 will affect sales of this title?

So far we have seen:

1. very mixed demo impressions and a lot of negativity flowing into net

2. not as favourable reviews as expected with a lot of heated discussion in comments for them

3. user scores attack on metacritic for it

4. PR disaster of EA being capable to block your access to games you bought which made headlines of all gaming media in less than 24h

5. news about Bioware/EA lying about inclusion of securom in the release.

No, as I was barely aware/interested in any of these. It has good pre-order numbers and now has a metacritic score of over 80, still very good

Is it soo hard just to type out Dragon Age 2? Gaming abbreviations are dumb. Not everybody knows what game you are talking about.

what i'm seeing is a list of 5 justifications people will use to pirate the game ...

Yes, the sales will very much be affected.

yup more or less. DA:O sold really well because of its good reviews and positive word of mouth. thats not the case for DA2

sales would still be high though. i expect 2 million at least on the console versions considering that

DA:O is at 3 million on consoles.

SecuROM is very much hated by a lot of people.

Of course but perhaps not it's FW numbers. It's legs will be gravely affected.

sales on most games, so far, seem to be down this year.
