Keep in mind, guys, money donated isn't necessarily going to go to Japan. Japan has not requested foreign aid and may never do so, which means the American Red Cross may never get involved in this particular disaster.

That doesn't mean you shouldn't donate. The Red Cross is an excellent organization to donate to. If I could I would donate generously every day.

Just know that your money may not be going to Japan specifically.

Noted. I kinda thought that foreigners were already involved given the how bad the whole situation looks, but lots of places need that money as well.
